Terms
- Submitted photos may be used within the necessary scope for creating the mosaic artwork and for operating this project (including exhibitions, related events, printed materials, the official website, and social media).
- Photos may be edited if needed for the creation of the mosaic artwork, including center-cropping to a square format, color adjustment, and resizing. The applicant and the original copyright holder agree not to exercise moral rights regarding these edits.
- Photos that are too dark, significantly blurred, or excessively edited—such that they are deemed unsuitable in quality—may not be included.
- Requests to delete submitted photos or to specify the placement of photos within the mosaic artwork will not be accepted.
- Copyright of the submitted photos remains with the applicant or the original copyright holder who has granted usage permission to the applicant. However, the applicant grants the organizers a free, non‑exclusive license to use the photos as needed for creating the mosaic artwork and operating this project (including exhibitions, printed materials, promotional media, and publication on websites and social media).
- Applicants must ensure that they legitimately own the copyright to the submitted photos or have obtained the necessary permissions from the copyright holder for submission to this project and for publication (including printed materials, websites, and social media).
- If a person appears in a photo, the applicant must obtain prior consent from the individual (or the individual’s legal guardian) for use of the photo in this project (including exhibitions, printed materials, and social media posting).
- If a third party raises concerns regarding copyright, portrait rights, or any other rights related to a submitted photo, the organizers may remove the photo at their discretion. The organizers assume no responsibility for any claims or disputes arising from such issues.
- Photos that may infringe upon third‑party rights or that are judged to violate laws, regulations, or public order and morality may be rejected at the organizers’ discretion.
- The completed mosaic artwork and related materials may be displayed publicly through the organizers’ promotional activities, exhibitions, printed materials, websites, and social media. Submission of a photo constitutes agreement to such publication.
- Personal information will be used solely for the purposes of handling submissions and responding to inquiries.
- Communication fees associated with submitting photos or viewing the production status are the responsibility of the applicant.
- By submitting a photo, applicants are deemed to have agreed to all terms of this policy.
